Hello here is the instructions to my note pad covers that I promised to put on here.
Any questions please feel free to ask. This can be altered to make to any size spiral notepad that you have. I hope you like!! Please let me know what you think!!
- I purchase these notebooks at BIGW (you can try others) The smaller ones come in a pack of 5 for just under $2. They are the perfect pocket/handbag size.
- The first time you make these you are better to make a template that you can use in future to make others. First of all you measure your cover of your notebook and cut a piece of cardstock the same size. (if it is for your template just use scrap)
- I then line the template up with the holes on the notepad a mark a line so I know where to punch my hole.
- Then with your crop o dile or hole punch in a straight line punch holes on the markings. I have ruled a line of where I think they need to go.
- Now that you have your template you should not ever have to do those steps again. Now you need a piece of card in the colour of your choice and to the measurements of your template.
- Then you put your cardstock under your template(lined up nicely) and use your hole punch and line it up with the holes on the template and punch through the cardstock.
- You then take a pair of scissors and snip in toward the punched holes in the middle of each hole
- You then line it back on top of the notepad and press the slotted bits in between the spirals
- Just keep pushing them down until they are all in.
- Then you cover the back of it in adhesive and stick it to the cover.
- Tidy up any edges and trim of corners
- Now you can decorate as you like.
- You can tie ribbon onto the little spirals. I like to have two different colours.
- This is my finished notepad.
