Hello, I have finally done the photo tutorial as promised. I made this one especially for ME. I just love these colours and wanted something less than the traditional christmas colours. Any questions please ask. Click on any of the images to view them larger.
The colours I have used on this project are Pretty In Pink, Certainly Celery, and the Designer Series Paper “spring fling”
- To make this project you will need a foolscap manilla folder. i purchased a pack of 25 for under $5 at K-mart.
- Open up a manilla folder and fold the bottom up (once folded up the manilla folder should be 25cms approx.
- A regular manilla folder has a fold so it is not even on both sides, you need to open it up and fold backwards, but fold directly in the middle creating a new score line.
- Your folder should now look like this.
- Open up the folder and fold both side to the middle fold line
- Now when opened up you should have four sections vertically and 2 horizontally. Now you need four pieces of DSP cut at 24.5cm x 11cm
- Apply adhesive to the back and and stick to the upper sections neatly
- Apply sticky strip(or other strong adhesive) to the shorter sections on both ends
- Fold the bottom section up press firmly where you stuck the adhesive
- It should have a W fold like this
- Now you will need four pieces of card stock 11cmx10cm
- Decorare them as desired(I used Only Ornaments roller wheel and some DSP cut offs)
- Apply adhesive to the back of the card and attach to the bits folded up
- The inside should look like this
- Now you need to make a front cover. Cut a piece of card 24.5cmx11cm (round the top right corner)
- decorate the cover as desired. I like to emboss the front or on this one I used heat &stick powder and glitter.
- Set an eyelet on the front and back roughly in the middle
- cut of two pieces of ribbon and thread through the eyelet and tie a knot in the back of each ribbon
- Next take an envelope seal it and cut about 1cm of the side
- now cut a piece of card stock the same size as your envelope and stick it to the front
- open it up and put your punch (circle or scallop) in half way and punch a slot
- Take another piece approx 11cmx5cm and put it on the inside of the envelope at the top
- It should look like this (decorate if you like)
- Open up the folder and pop the envelope inside one of the pockets
- This is what the inside finishes up like (the paper inserts are something I quickly typed up on the computer) Christmas Card List, Christimas Shopping List and One for Notes
- Front Cover ( the scallop circle will have a circle inside the middle that says Christmas Planner)

Thank you so much again for sharing the directions for this, I think I might give this a shot also!

Hi Christine,
I’ve just been looking at the directions for your Christmas planner, it’s great. I wondered if there is a printable version of them? It would be great to have a copy on hand when you are making one or two or three so you didn’t have to keep going back to the computer. I guess you could write them out but it would be much easier if you could print them.
